So now in to week 4 in the office... and my life has completely changed; moving down the country to a new place, starting the new job, meeting so many new people, and overcoming the challenges of settling in to life with all these huge changes all coming at once. I’ve always had an interest in boxing but gradually it has become my favourite sport.  I don’t think you can appreciate it until you give at least some of the training a try. I was by no means the next Floyd Mayweather, but I reached a level that enabled me to appreciate the true athleticism and heart the sport requires. Coupled by meeting my friend Rob, the interest developed into a passion in my teenage years that encompasses all aspects of the sport. However, before I joined HSBC I was a Maths teacher at a Secondary School in Bristol. So rather than boring you with all the different weight categories and why most of my vocabulary is a direct rip-off from my idol Muhammad Ali, I thought I would culminate the teaching and the boxing; should boxing be banned in schools? My application to the HSBC Commercial Management Programme began during an afternoon break from final year University lectures; the first thing I liked about the initial application was the ease of a CV submission, just to get the ball rolling. There was no 3 hour long application filling out essay style answers, trying to write what you think the company wants to hear you say... and from there, the application process got underway.
